As you see your self, who is Wil$on?

Wil$on-Uh,WIl$on Is just a young dude trying to get it by any means, trying to be a good example for my nephew and show him that anything is possible if you’re willing to put in the work and have doors slammed in your face.

Tell us about your current project?

Wil$on- Aw man lol, I’m super excited for the world to hear the new *ish Me and (Cook&Jango) have been working on, I don’t want to say the name of the project but definetly be on the look out for that next year. Its way past ’93 Ep’ in my eyes, sonically, has better songwriting, better harder hitting beats, more performance ready tracks; its gonna be crazy.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

Wil$on-I honestly still don’t think this industry is for me lol, In my short time doing this I’ve come across some self entitled people, phony people and people who don’t want to help unless it helps them in some type of way. So I guess its really my love for making music that keeps me going because I’ve never been good at anything as I am at putting words together over a beat.

What makes you the next great happening?

Wil$on-I really just love the music, And I work fu**ing hard at it. I don’t think anybody sounds like I do and I have a unique perspective on things that I think is relatable. I feel like my movement is a whole new wave.

Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?

Wil$on-Major Label no. I’m partnered with up and coming Los Angeles indie label ‘Busy Sounds.’

Who and what are your influences?

Wil$on-Kanye and Pharrell are probably my biggest musical influences. They’re always pushing the boundaries of what Hip Hop is supposed to sound like in a fresh way that’s not corny or trying too hard. Say what you want about Kanye but you can tell how much effort he puts in his music by its quality and that’s something I also want to bring to the table.

What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?

Wil$on- Just expect a better Wil$on. Anything I’m attached to will represent a certain level of dopeness. And more and more music, I just about dropped a song a month in 2015 so maybe Ill double that.

I don’t have a specific moment but I do think its funny how the people who clowned me and told me not to rap 3 years ago are the main ones hitting me up now that they think I’m making headway.
