The 2015 MTV VMAs Hip-Hop Nominees

It’s that time of year again: the 2015 MTV VMAs are upon us. And this year’s show already looks to have plenty of fireworks. Whether it’s the mere prospect of seeing what Nicki Minaj will do in opening this year’s show—particularly after host Miley Cyrus threw some shots at her in a New York Times interview earlier this week—or waiting to see what the likes of A$AP Rocky and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will cook up in their performances, 2015′s show seems set to deliver on the awards show hype that surrounds each of these events every year.

But while we’ll remember and talk about the moments on Monday, it really comes down to who walks away with what award. This year 10 rappers—Kendrick Lamar (13), Nicki Minaj (3), Wiz Khalifa (2), Fetty Wap (2), Big Sean (2), Childish Gambino (2), A$AP Rocky (1), Snoop Dogg (1), Wale (1) and Tyler, The Creator (1)—have been nominated for a Moon Man, while Kanye West will be honored with the Video Vanguard Award. To get you ready for Sunday night’s main event, here are the hip-hop nominees for the 2015 MTV VMAs. Get your scorecards ready.
