Trap Music Museum Celebrates Latto as ‘Trapper of the Year’ with Exclusive New Art Installation

The Trap Music Museum (TMM) recently lit up the Atlanta night with its highly anticipated annual “Trapper of the Year” event, celebrating the rap sensation Latto and marking a highlight in TMM’s storied history. This unforgettable evening, attended by over 500 guests, was powered by the dynamic energy of Revolt, the official media partner, and featured a dazzling array of stars, music, and art.

The red carpet was a spectacle of glamour, guided by the charismatic hosts Kay and Trap Fairy Princess, with Atlanta’s own Fly Guy DC steering the evening as the main host. DJ AD and DJ Smartt kept the energy high with their electrifying sets, ensuring the vibe was nothing short of phenomenal.

The event saw the presence of industry giants and celebrities such as Fat Joe, Young Dro, comedian Karlous Miller, and rap artists Big Boss Vette, Kamillion, Seddy Hendrinx, and Quay Global. Their support underscored the significance of the night and Latto’s impact on the trap music scene.

Laughs Were Rampant

Adding a touch of comedic flair, Navv Greene hosted the lively “Lil Karaoke” segment, where attendees performed some of Latto’s biggest hits. The celebration also featured expertly crafted cocktails by Hennessy, Mercer + Prince, and Volcan Tequila, each named after Latto’s iconic tracks, alongside complimentary hot wings from Wingnuts, paying homage to Atlanta’s vibrant food culture.

The pinnacle of the evening was when legendary rapper and TMM owner, Tip, took the stage to present Latto with the esteemed “Trapper of the Year” award. Tip’s heartfelt tribute highlighted Latto’s dedication, resilience, and the authentic Atlanta spirit she embodies. The award was marked by the presentation of a custom Diamond TOTY ring, a symbol of Latto’s remarkable achievements, and was followed by the unveiling of a stunning new art installation.

The Presentation

The centerpiece of the installation is a life-sized wax figure of Latto, crafted by renowned artist Mr. Official, surrounded by a creative display of peaches and a custom car piece by Jerrel Ganantt. This visual tribute is complemented by breathtaking portraits from talented artists Heat, Jillian Williams, Tiffany Davis, Kai Young, Bianca Nolden, and Jerrel Gantt, each contributing their unique touch to this artistic celebration.

A spokesperson for Trap Music Museum expressed their pride in Latto’s selection for the award, stating, “Latto exemplifies what it means to be a true trapper—hustling tirelessly, staying authentic, and representing the heart of Atlanta. This event not only honors her but also brings together our community to celebrate our culture and creativity.”

The evening closed with a sense of fulfillment and reflection, as guests and artists celebrated the powerful intersection of music, art, and culture. You can join the conversation here for more details about Trap Music Museum and upcoming events.
