Elliott Wilson Launches ‘Elliott Wilson Experience’ Podcast, Spotlighting Hip Hop’s Elite
Elliott Wilson, acclaimed Hip Hop journalist, editor, author, and content producer, recently announced the launch of his podcast, “Elliott Wilson Experience,” which will feature informative and intimate conversations with leading figures in the music industry, including heavyweight talents, rising stars, executives, and innovators as only he does it.
The inaugural episode of the podcast featured an in-depth interview with breakout New York City Hip Hop artist Cash Cobain and premiered on August 29 at 8 a.m. ET. The audio of Elliott’s podcast is available on all podcast streaming platforms.

In the interview, Cobain shared his perspective on the criticism J. Cole received after collaborating with him on the “Grippy” remix. The Bronx native also discussed his meteoric rise, his role in spearheading the sexy drill genre, his family’s influence on his career, and the New York Hip Hop scene. The “Elliott Wilson Experience”, unconventionally approaches interviews, stepping into the worlds of its subjects. Upcoming episodes include interviews with figures such as Mustard, Rapsody, Common, Pete Rock, Mach-Hommy, and On The Radar’s Gabe P, recorded in a variety of unique locations.
In a release from his team, Wilson is quoted as saying, “I’m proud to launch this platform and share the powerful stories behind the most talented individuals in culture,”. He described the “Elliott Wilson Experience” as focused on creating comfortable environments for guests, delivering compelling conversations, and crafting cultural moments. “I’m a storyteller at heart, and I can’t wait for listeners and viewers to gain a unique insight into the lives of their favorite personalities,” he added.
New episodes of the “Elliott Wilson Experience” are slated to drop each Thursday at 8 a.m. ET. The podcast can be followed on Instagram, TikTok, X, or any platform where podcasts are available, offering exciting insights into the world of music and beyond.
The launch of the “Elliott Wilson Experience” marked Wilson’s latest media venture and came after he was formally named Editorial Director of Hip Hop Journalism for UPROXX, HipHopDX, and DIME in April 2024. He also co-hosts “The Bigger Picture” show alongside Jeremy Hecht and DJ Hed, where they discuss and debate Hip Hop’s most pressing news.
Elliott previously served as the Editor-in-Chief of XXL Magazine and co-authored “ego trip’s Book of Rap Lists” (St. Martin’s Press, 1999) and “ego trip’s Big Book of Racism!” (Regan, 2002).
