Source Spirits: A Reflection of Rey Jaffet and Sean Behm’s Vision

Rey Jaffet and Sean Behm, renowned for their large-scale art installations, have collaborated on their latest masterpiece, “Source Spirits.” This inter-dimensional art installation embodies their belief in the divine connection to the Source, serving as a portal to the infinite and a harmonious gateway to the collective consciousness. Inspired by their conviction that art can express gratitude in unity and foster a sense of oneness, Jaffet and Behm created an inter-dimensional celebration where sacred beings embrace love over fear, invoking visceral responses of love and freedom through interactions of oneness.

Creating “Source Spirits” was both challenging and rewarding. Mentally, it pushed Jaffet and Behm to new heights, requiring meticulous planning and execution. Spiritually, the project was an awakening, deepening their connection to their art and each other. Physically, the demands were immense, with each stage pushing their limits. Throughout this creative journey, their trust in the process brought moments of tears and laughter, allowing them to grow closer and realize exponential growth.

Their goal is to unify minds, open hearts, and synchronize spirits, fostering a sense of connection among the audience.

“Source Spirits” stands out from Jaffet and Behm’s previous works by integrating an inter-dimensional experience that surpasses their earlier creations. The installation, composed of 14 sculptures, centers around an 8-meter portal representing our direct connection to the Source. Six 4-meter Spirits surround the portal in a hexagonal formation, standing in a playful, surrendered state. This setup creates a powerful and welcoming silhouette. Each sculpture set can be suspended in the air as kinetic overhead elements or displayed on the ground. The sculptures incorporate advanced technology, including a custom RGB laser grid, scanning lasers, haze and filtration systems, planetary motors, and the capability to hold additional features. Additionally, the installation is designed for efficient global travel, enabling a broader audience to experience its impact.

The installation aims to explore the human spirit and our collective consciousness. Jaffet and Behm’s vision for this piece extends beyond aesthetics, aiming to create a space where individuals can connect deeply with themselves and each other. The installation’s ability to evoke a sense of unity and interconnectedness demonstrates their belief in the transformative power of art. By fostering an environment where people can feel the same pulse from their hearts as the beat of the universe, “Source Spirits” encourages a profound recognition of our shared humanity.

The technical aspects of the installation also highlight Jaffet and Behm’s innovative approach. The kinetic suspension and modularity of the components allow for a dynamic and adaptable experience, where the installation can be reconfigured and presented in various ways to suit different environments. This flexibility ensures that “Source Spirits” can reach a wide audience, bringing its message of unity and love to diverse cultural contexts around the world. Through “Source Spirits,” Jaffet and Behm aim to create an experience that resonates deeply with those who encounter it. The installation serves as a reminder of the courage it takes to choose love over fear, and the beauty that arises from embracing our interconnectedness.
