Nav Drops New Single “6am Thoughts” With Cash Cobain And Bay Swag
Chart-topping rapper, producer, and XO artist NAV has officially released “6am Thoughts” with Cash Cobain and Bay Swag. The new single comes as Nav’s second song this week, following Wednesday’s release of “Rexdale,” the first track from his upcoming album, On My Way 2 Rexdale. Produced by Cash Cobain, “6am Thoughts” further peels back the curtain on the latest chapter in NAV’s career as he reflects on the lovesick troubles keeping him up at night over the song’s woozy synth chords and bouncy percussion. Cash Cobain melodically weaving his vocals throughout the chorus and Bay Swag’s nonchalant delivery paint the dreamlike state synonymous with NAV’s discography. With two releases under his belt this week and a new album on the way, a major year for the XO star is inevitable.
Rumors of new music began circulating when NAV teased the title at Coachella’s Sahara stage, sparking online speculation about whether it was a single or an album. He later confirmed it in a trailer packed with teasers of featured artists. Watch here.
