DJ Duo Loud Luxury Release New Single “Cool Like That” Featuring Bobby Shmurda
With over 1.5 billion streams under their belt, Los Angeles-based DJ duo Loud Luxury release their anticipated single “Cool Like That” featuring hip-hop heavyweight Bobby Shmurda.
Earlier this year Bobby reached out to jump in the studio with Loud Luxury to record, as his love for dance music grew immensely after not being able to listen to anything explicit while serving time. His affection for the genre is based heavily around its upbeat energy and positive messaging, serving as manifestos for the new direction of his life. Andrew and Joe (Loud Luxury) created the perfect beat for Bobby to express himself, producing the song around his vocals. The result, “Cool Like That,” is a big room banger that will have fans everywhere blasting the rest of the year.
About the song Loud Luxury says, “The story of this song actually goes back to when we started DJing in college when Bobby Shmurda’s early music would absolutely level the dancefloor of any bar we played at. Fast forward many years (and parties) later, Bobby wanted to try to channel the 90s music he grew up on, so we got in the studio and in 4 hours we built the entire song out of a freestyle he did over one of our beats. There’s a reason it’s unexpected – because none of us thought this would work, but that’s exactly what makes this track so special.”
The song arrives the week after Loud Luxury took the stage at Lollapalooza last Friday, where they were joined by Bobby Shmurda on stage for a surprise live performance of the song.
The moment marks another feat amidst a nonstop year for the artists, as their previous single “Young & Foolish” feat. charlieonafriday reached #1 on Dance Radio earlier this year, amassing over 10M streams, while the two DJs also took their live show around the world performing on some of the biggest stages including a sold-out show at Brooklyn Mirage, NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals, Sundown Solstice in Anchorage, Badlands Festival in Calgary, and their Las Vegas Residency.
With no signs of slowing down either, Loud Luxury are slated for a slew of additional performances into the fall, with visits to places like ÎleSoniq Music Festival in Montreal, Findings Festival in Norway, and multiple shows in Las Vegas. See full routing below.

ABOUT BOBBY SHMURDA
Bobby Shmurda is a multi-platinum hip-hop artist hailing from Brooklyn, New York. He first emerged on the national music scene in 2014 with the release of his smash single “Hot Boy,” which peaked at No. 6 at the Billboard Hot 100 and quickly catapulted him to stardom. The success of the song sparked the viral “Shmoney Dance” as well as a wide array of remixes by the likes of French Montana, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Yo Gotti, Busta Rhymes, Rowdy Rebel, Mavado, Popcaan, Junior Reid and Jah X. To date, the song has earned a 5x-Platinum certification.
