DaeShawn Forrest Releases Highly Anticipated Mixtape, “THE DREAM”
Rumors of a forthcoming project first hit the airwaves at the dawn of the summer of 2023. The young Bay Area artist and producer would proceed to fan those growing flames of the desire for a new project from his expanding fanbase, yet, remained tight-lipped about any and all specific details. While constantly suggesting that his vault of unreleased gems was getting fuller and fuller and the days past by, DaeShawn Forrest would go on to release three fan-favorite singles “SHOW UP”, “BETTER MYSELF, and “Ain’t A Thing”.
Now after one year of countless snippets of unreleased songs amid the release of several singles, DaeShawn Forrest returns to the spotlight, opening up his vault with the release of his highly anticipated and long awaited mixtape “THE DREAM”. The 13-track project features the rising artist at his all-around finest as his commitment to his craft and relentless drive for success is made evident in a unique way in all 13 songs.
“I’m proud of this. Extremely proud”, stated DaeShawn Forrest as he described his thoughts regarding his new body of work. “I’ve made several projects in the past. But, this one holds a very special place in my heart. Of all I’ve done so far, THE DREAM sits way at the top for me. It’s not just music about me chasing a dream, but about the different ways I’ve had to grow and face hardships throughout this process. It’s about the growth and changing of character. It’s real life as it takes place”, expressed DaeShawn.
“THE DREAM” showcases DaeShawn Forrest’s lyrical and melodic sharpness but also the strength of him behind the boards as he is credited as a producer or co-producer on all but the final song of the project. After a lengthy wait, “THE DREAM” has arrived.
