No stranger to finding gold after winning the Olympics for Team GB as a synchronized diver in 2016, Christopher Mears has enjoyed similar success as a producer. Following his first Top 5 success with German superstar Felix Jaehn, MEARSY has now worked and written with the likes of Meduza, Vintage Culture, Tiësto, Alok, and Steve Aoki, to name just a few.
Collaborating with Sophie and the Giants was a natural step for the production wizard, as both artists share an affinity and deep understanding of music that crosses a spectrum of genres, giving their tracks a depth and longevity that delivers on the immaculate first impressions they consistently make.

DNA follows Sophie and the Giants’ 2022 acclaimed summer hit, We Own The Night, and her two collaborations with German Grammy award winner DJ Purple Disco Machine. Having released Hypnotized together in 2020, which has now amassed nearly half-a-billion streams to date, the pair’s follow-up single – last April’s In The Dark – was a Europe-wide Number 1which enjoyed an extended stint at the summit of the EU-wide APC chart, powering its way to nearly 200 million streams since release.
Following the success of those tracks, Scott also took the new look Sophie and the Giants on the road as she staged a full headline tour across Europe in November. Further live dates, including a number of 2023 summer festival appearances, will be announced soon.
