Alonzo B. Slater On His Multi-Faceted Career, His Next Film, Doing Stand-Up, Jersey & More

Alonzo B. Slater landed his first leading role alongside veteran actors Vivica A. Fox and Jackeé Harry in his first Christmas film, A Christmas For Mary, which premiered in December on OWN. With em>A Christmas For Mary, Slater played Michael Payton, a handsome love interest who’s a wholesome man taking over his family’s business in a small town where he discovers the woman of his dreams.

Slater first stepped foot in entertainment as a wardrobe stylist for Catt Saddler (E! News) and Chris Witherspoon (CNN) for 3 years in New York. After graduating college with an English degree, he decided to pursue his talents as an actor and model. Since moving to Los Angeles, Slater has signed to the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, appearing in commercials and/or print ads for Asics, Verizon, American Express and Chevrolet. All of that aside, Slater has been writing for his own production company, AM Productions, and making video content for his YouTube channel.

On February 11, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Alonzo B. Slater via Zoom, as embedded below. More on the New Jersey native can be found online at www.twitter.com/Alonzo_Brown, www.iamalonzobrown.com, www.instagram.com/alonzobslater and his YouTube channel.
