Cat Footwear Comeback

In the early 90s, teenagers in the UK & Europe starting wearing Cat Footwear’s classic “Colorado” work boot to represent 90s Americana grunge. This was the first time the boots were worn for fashion not function, and as such, Cat started catering to a fashion consumer and developed the lifestyle line for men & women that has been going strong for over two decades now.

In the past year or so, with the return of 90s grunge as a trend, the Brits have started wearing our “Colorado” boot as vintage, including: Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, and most of all Rita Ora. Rita’s been seen wearing the boots in everything from a velour gown on a red carpet, to dashing through the airport.

Because of all of this, Cat has reintroduced the Colorado boot to the US market this year for the first time since the 90s, and this time with fresh updates. For Fall, we saw bright pops of color for men (red, blue, green, orange), and new textures for women (pony hair, leopard print, metallics), and this Spring, we have graphic prints, lighter colors, and a stripped out lining to make it more breathable and slouchy for Spring.
