Who is TrOyMaN? #OfficialHype

TrOyMaN was born and raised in the Bay Area of California a hip hop breeding ground to such hip hop icons as E-40, Too-Short, Digital Underground, and Tupac Shakur one of TrOyMaN’s key musical influences.

In the summer of 2008 TrOyMaN released his first mix CD to spectacular reviews. His follow up effort “THE PREVIEW”, was a hip hop masterpiece that had not been witnessed on the mix tape circuit since artists like Drake, Game and Eminem burst on the scene.

Early in his career TrOyMaN captivated viewers of BET’s 106th and Park “Wild Out Wednesday” with a memorable performance that received great feedback from Robin Thicke and resulted in him winning 1st place a fete that would push his career into high gear. Other noteworthy accolades include winning Best Independent Hip Hop Artist in 2009’s MTV’s Atlanta’s Best Independent Artist/Rock Your Fashion Campaign, being recognized by Lee Bailey of EUR as a 1st place winner at Uplifting Minds Talent Competition (LA), and most recently being voted 2013’s Best Male Hip Hop Artist at The Atlanta Underground Music Awards.

As fate would have it TrOyMaN was selected by Darryl “DMC” McDaniel of the legendary rap group “Run DMC” to become a member of “The New Alumni” which eventually led to a collaboration between the two on the remix “Mii Addidas” which can be heard on the TrOyMaN CD entitled CHILL^X released in the fall of 2013 to raving reviews.

TrOyMaN’s performance as Devante’ in the award winning Faith-based indie film “LAYING MY PAST TO REST” has continued to receive national praise since its release and he continues to add to what seems to be a never ending filmography.

TrOyMaN’s latest project “The MAD EP”” has been gaining momentum since its release and if the saying is true that real artists are born and not created TrOyMaN is definitely poised to become one of the greatest hip hop artists of his generation.

As you see your self, who is TrOyMaN?

TrOyMaN is a man of many talents and aspiration… There’s TrOyMaN the hip hop artist, TrOyMaN the music producer and TrOyMaN the actor. TrOyMaN is an all around entertatiner.

Tell us about your current project?

My current project is my last free mixtape for a while called “Free Gold”. I am currently getting ready to release my first commercial EP titled “About Last Night”. It’s going to have about 5 or 6 tracks on it. Sage the Gemini and LVRD PHAROH (Phre$h Mobb) blessed the “Starvin’ Marvin’ ” track.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

My accomplishments, awards and recognition along with my hard work and dedication to my craft lets me KNOW that this industry is for me.

What makes you the next great happening?

My individuality and creativity along with my diversity and intellect makes me the next great happening. It actually makes me the now great hapening lol

Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?

I am currently independent which is actually the best situation for me right now. I have more creative control with my projects and overall career.

Who and what are your influences?

Actually I am influenced by everyday life situations, current events, relationships and people. Music wise my influences are Tupac, Dr. Dre (Production) and Kanye West just to name a few.

What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?

I will be releasing a few hit singles from the “About Last Night” EP. Expect a lot more live performances and visibility.

Is there anything you would like our readers to know?

I want your readers to know that TrOyMaN stands for Peace and Equality for all people. I am very in tuned with all of the injustices that is going on not only in this country but worldwide. I hope that I can one day make a difference with my music. I uplift and respect women to the fullest and appreciate my fans and supporters whole heartedly. Please keep supporting indie artist!
