Lamar Jay raised in North Long Beach CA, at a early age was musically inspired from old school groups as of Earth Wind fire to the soul artist, Musiq Soul Child, Sade and others. Lamar decided to take music seriously 2008, after high school after getting in trouble and going down the wrong roads. Lamar Quotes ” I had to wake up, get my life in order”.

Lamar went on to drop four Mixtapes ” Therapy, Everyday Happy, OgRnb, and his latest project to date Devotion. This is just the beginning for the west coast singer.

Just a young man trying to find himself through my music, letting go my thoughts.

Tell us about your current project?

I actually just dropped a project “Devotion” out this year in May working on current videos to support my singles from the project. also I’m currently working on new material also tho so the work don’t stop lol.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

To be honest my supporters the people who need music to help them get through the day I know I’m a music fan at heart been since I could remember.

What makes you the next great happening?

I can honestly say time will tell I know I’m unique different in my own way God made us all different, So I know my sound will touch somebody hopefully listening.

Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?

No. Everything I do is Independent my team and I which is only a few of us come together place ideas and try to get them done!

Who and what are your influences?

So many influences music level, “Al green, Earth Wind Fire, MusiqSoul Child, Erica Badu, Lauryn Hill, just to name a few. Things that influences me humble , good spirited vibes.

What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?

Just a lot more visual, more music, more shows just taking it one day at a time.
