Trevor Jackson Officially Releases His “Feelings”

unnamed

Atlantic recording artist Trevor Jackson has announced the official release of his acclaimed new mixtape, “IN MY FEELINGS” available for purchase now http://smarturl.it/BuyInMyFeelings.

“IN MY FEELINGS” features the extraordinary new focus track, “Simple As This,” which received wide online coverage after premiering last month via Global Grind. The clip – directed by Kristian Zuniga (August Alsina, Run The Jewels) – is streaming now at Jackson’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/trevorjackson.

Rich with lush R&B ballads and high-energy hip-hop bangers, “IN MY FEELINGS” marks Jackson’s most personal release thus far. Seamlessly sequenced, the mixtape displays the 19-year-old Jackson’s remarkably diverse talents on tracks like the show-stopping “Right Enough,” ably accompanied by features from Iamsu!, Iyn Jay, Kevin Gates and Mystikal.

“IN MY FEELINGS” has already been applauded in a wide range of online outlets, including an exclusive VIBEpremiere interview (www.vibe.com/2015/08/premiere-trevor-jackson-in-my-feelings-mixtape). “The mature, enigmatic ‘IN MY FEELINGS’ imagines Jackson as a purveyor of traditional R&B,” declared The Source, “with the genre-bending 2010’s twist that has placed Ty Dolla $ign and Trigga Trey Songz at the forefront.”

Recently named as one of Ebony’s “25 Young Guns of Black Hollywood,” Jackson has a number of major projects slated for the coming months, including a leading role in the eagerly anticipated second season of ABC’s Emmy Award-nominated American Crime alongside Regina King and André (3000) Benjamin. What’s more, Jackson — whose appearance on NBC’s Harry’s Law earned him the 2012 Young Artists Award for “Best Performance In A TV Series – Guest Starring Young Actor 14-17” — has starring roles in such upcoming film releases as Juveniles and actor/director Mykelti Williamson’s Sons 2 The Grave.

Known for his role in 2012’s blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie, Let It Shine, and a three year run as Young Simba in Disney’s Tony Award-winning national tour of The Lion King, Trevor Jackson jump-started his solo career with 2013’s Atlantic Records debut, “#NEWTHANG” EP. Highlighted by the single, “Like We Grown,” the set immediately earned the Indianapolis born performer a fervent fan following, as did follow-up tracks like the YouTube smash, “Drop It Remix (Feat. B.o.B).”

Jackson also proved himself a star on the concert stage by co-headlining the first Atlantic Records High School Nation Tour and then teaming up with fellow Atlantic recording artist Diggy Simmons on the smash “Who Else But Us” promo tour as well as the 2014 single, “My Girl (Feat. Trevor Jackson).” 2014 also saw a string of increasingly popular solo releases, including “Know Your Name (Feat. Sage the Gemini),” “Good Girl Bad Girl,” and “Me Likey (Feat. Kirko Bangz).” As if that weren’t enough, Jackson made waves with appearances at such events as the 2013 WNBA All Star Game, the 2014 and 2015 BET Experience, and Pepsi’s MLB 2015 All Star Summer Block Party in Cincinnati.
