Beartooth Touring with Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, Atreyu This Fall

Columbus, OH hardcore outfit Beartooth will continue their whirlwind year on the road with tours across North America, the UK and Europe this fall. Fresh from Reading & Leeds festivals, the band have announced North American shows with Atreyu followed by a run with Slipknot that includes a slot on Southern California’s Knotfest Oct. 25. “Touring with Slipknot is gonna be amazing for obvious reasons (they’re awesome)” said Beartooth front man Caleb Shomo. “I can’t wait to play a wild show then watch the rest of it unfold with Suicidal Tendencies and Slipknot. I honestly doubt I leave the stage at all!” From there they will head back across the ocean for a European tour with Bring Me The Horizon which kicks off Nov. 2 in Munich, Germany, followed by a run of UK headline shows that includes a night at London’s Electric Ballroom.

Beartooth is touring in support of their debut album Disgusting, out now via Red Bull Records. Written, performed and produced by 22 year-old Shomo, Disgusting shares equal inspiration with brutal metalcore as with old-school punk like The Ramones and the bombastic theatricality of Queen. The end result is a back-to-basics hardcore stomp interspersed with anthemic choruses like those in “In Between,” which hit #1 on iTunes Metal charts around the world and is currently climbing the US Active Rock Charts.

Critical acclaim for the band has been effusive: #3 Most Essential Album of 2014 (Alternative Press), #2 Album of the Year (Rock Sound), #5 Album of the Year (Kerrang), #13 Song of the Year “In Between” (Kerrang), #6 Album of the Year (Big Cheese), Best New International Band (Big Cheese), #24 Album of the Year (Metal Hammer). They’ve received three Alternative Press Music Award nominations, for Breakthrough Band, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, a Kerrang Award nod for Best International Newcomer, and they have been nominated for a Metal Hammer Golden God award in the UK for Best New Band.

The five-piece got their start in basements and friend’s homes and have been playing constantly since, with the likes of Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil and Silverstein, even returning to their roots on a string of house show dates through the Midwest. They’ve performed at venerable rock fests Rock on the Range, Welcome to Rockville and Carolina Rebellion and as well as UK’s Download and Slam Dunk Festivals, and earlier this year they made their first trip to Australia supporting In Heart’s Wake and We Came As Romans before returning home for the entire length of the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. Look for them in your town soon.
